About Us
How to Break Common Childhood Myths was developed by a mother-son teaching duo, Diane and Chad Finkbeiner. Diane has nearly forty years of classroom experience ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade and has seen just about everything kids are capable of. Chad had been a formal educator since 2006. Prior to this career change, he had been an extreme sports instructor and counselor for nearly a decade.
The “How To” series of workshops was designed to help parents understand common obstacles faced during child rearing and to offer possible solutions to guide and support children of all ages. Through their combined teaching experiences, the Finkbeiners identified a critical need: children need help in becoming independent and responsible. Their ultimate goal is to offer parental guidance that will help children become productive members of our society.
