Inspired Treasures

Here’s a beautiful quotation to start your day:

“We are inspired treasures, with creative gifts to share.”

What gifts do you have to share with us? There are so many different kinds of gifts…the kind you make with your own hands, the kind you give with your knowledge, the kind you share through your emotions, spirituality, or inner muse! Feel free to share all of your gifts..let them out to breathe and give life to others. Experiment and find that inner guide to lead you to that most important gift that you have to give to others. You are important to the world!

Sharing some beauty from Italy with you:

what do you collect???

Did you have a collection of anything when you were a kid?  I did!!  I loved dolls…all kinds! I played with Ginny dolls constantly, but I must have played them right out because I don’t have any left. I saved many of the dolls that I collected in the 50′s. Some of them (when shared at a school when I was an adult) were ruined…not quite enough supervision:(  So a beautiful bride doll is no more, and many of the costumes have been a bit tortured. But after finding the box of dolls in the attic a few weeks ago, I can still remember the joy these dolls brought to a little girl!!

I had a collection of Storybook dolls which came in the mail once a month:

I don't remember all of them, but one is Little Bo Peep!

how about a bridal party?

can you figure these out?

I also was a member of an International Doll Club. I have the dolls, but I don’t have all the excellent extras that were sent…like coins, stamps, and information about each country!

As a mom to 2 boys, dolls were not a priority in my house! But I still love them. Next week I’ll show you a few more of my treasures!

Do your children love certain things? Do they get to keep them? I know, sometimes your house can become a trash heap of ‘favorites’…but some things need to be special and saved.

More to come….

No Talking?? Really?

Help!!  I have laryngitis!! Really….no voice at all, since Tuesday! This is very strange…no sore throat, a very minor cold, but I really can’t get sounds out. Think about answering the phone..ha, ha, very weird…I squeak out something, and the response is ‘Pardon me?’  Good thing for texting and emails, right?

Does anyone have a quick cure?? Because Monday is the night for our big book signing!!! I don’t want to have to wear a sign that says, “Sorry, I have laryngitis!”  Any of your gramma’s special hot toddies or lozenges?? Thanks for any of your ideas!!

just in case you're not tired of hearing about our book yet.... :)

Maybe your parenting skills can help me out with a solution, but I must admit…I don’t think kids get laryngitis as often as adults. I saw very little of that over 41 years of teaching…what do you think?
